Faculty and Postdoc Openings in Network Science
The Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS), headed by Turing Award winner Prof. Andrew C. Yao, is a newly established academic unit at Tsinghua University, aimed at creating a world-class environment for research and education in computer science and related disciplines. IIIS currently has 15 full-time tenure-track faculty members, and is actively recruiting outstanding scholars to join IIIS in its exciting growth toward excellence.
One of the IIIS’ strategic areas of growth is Network Science. The goal is to study the networks that fundamentally underlie and characterize the connectedness of the modern world (e.g., social networks, transportation networks, or economic networks), and that result from the ever-increasing complexity of today’s computer systems.
We invite applications from highly-qualified candidates in areas related to Network Science. Specific areas include (but are not limited to) computer networks (Internet, wireless networks, sensor networks, networks-on-chip), distributed systems, distributed algorithms and optimization, social networks, computational finance and economic networks, smart grids and energy-efficient computing, analysis and modeling of dynamic and complex systems, transportation networks, or biological networks.
We seek candidates at all academic levels, including Post-Docs and Assistant/Associate/Full Professors. Attractive remuneration packages are available. Initial appointments are normally made on a fixed-term contract. Subsequent contract renewal, promotion and tenure all follow standard international practices.
