Weiran Huang

Weiran Huang is currently a researcher at Noah's Ark Lab. He received his Ph.D. degree at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS), Tsinghua University, supervised by Prof. Andrew C. Yao and Wei Chen. Before that, he got his bachelor's degree in Electronics Information Engineering from Tsinghua University. He was a visiting scholar of computer science at Harvard University from Nov 2017 to Feb 2018. His research interests include multi-armed bandit problems, social network analysis, and sampling methods. His work ranges from theory, to practical algorithms with guarantees, to experimental evaluations over real-world data.

He was the president of IIIS Graduate Union and the president of IIIS Badminton Club, and was awarded the Excellent Student Leader of Tsinghua University.
