hits:
April 27,2012

April 28, Professor Gu Binglin, who recently retired as President of Tsinghua University, and Lauritz B. Holm-Nielsen, Rector of Aarhus University, signed the agreement for Tsinghua-Aarhus Joint Center for the Theory of Interactive Computation (CTIC).  It extends the collaboration between Tsinghua and Aarhus.

This agreement concerns an extension and continuation of the CTIC center, which is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Danish National Research Foundation. IIIS at Tsinghua and the Computer Science Department at Aarhus have been working closely under the joint center in the field of computer science, focusing in particular on complexity theory, cryptography, quantum informatics and algorithmic gaming theory.

The joint center was inaugurated on May 13, 2011 and witnessed fruitful results in faculty and student exchagne as well as co-hosting workshops. In recognition of the collaboration between the two institutions, Tsinghua University made Aarhus University the host of China Theory Week in 2011.

Both Tsinghua and Aarhus wish to maintain a close partnership for education and research with each other.
