The ITCS branch of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was founded with the approval of the CPC Committee of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University on May 26.

On May 28, Xu Bin, deputy secretary of the Department CPC Committee hosted the first plenary meeting of the ITCS CPC branch. During the meeting, Prof. Yuexuan Wang, Assis. Prof. Hu Meizhi and Ms. Lv Xiamin were elected as branch secretary, commissary in charge of organization and commissary in charge of publicity respectively.

Meanwhile, ITCS Labor Union was also officially founded. It will play a coordinating role in the activities of the Institute.
