Two outstanding ITCS students Jing He and Hongyu Liang, led by Dr. Christophe Tartary, went to Germany to attend STACS on Feb. 24, 2009.
The five-day trip was very beneficial. During the symposium, the two students noticed some interesting topITCS, such as a dynamic game theory problem (information supplied online, which requires a good algorithmic solution), and flow algorithm problems (mainly including four categories: single reader and single processor, multiple reader and single processor, single reader and multiple processor, as well as multiple processor and multiple reader).

This trip to Germany strengthened Hongyu and Jing’s basic knowledge, broadened their research horizon, and was therefore of far-researching significance to their future.
