The First Symposium on Theoretical Computer Science was held on Oct.13 in the Lecture Hall, FIT Building of Tsinghua University, which marks another Grand Gathering of the field in theoretical computer science since the successful workshop “China Theory Week 2008” was held by ITCS (Institute for Theoretical Computer Science) during Sep.21-27. All the faculty members, Ph.D. candidates, graduate students and undergraduate students from ITCS attend this symposium.
Prof. Yao gave a welcome speech during the opening ceremony
During this symposium, 20 world-famous scholars from prestigious universities such as Princeton University and MIT gather together, discussing problems on how to train scientists’ blood for students, how to carry out textbook program and how to teach them in accordance with their aptitude.
