Quantum Many-body Phenomena with Cold Atoms

Speaker: Hui Zhai Tsinghua University
Time: 2011-05-19 15:00-2011-05-19 16:00
Venue: FIT 1-222

In this talk, I will briefly introduce some of our recent works on many-body physics aspect of cold atoms. As examples, I shall introduce new “superfluid liquid crystals” phase in spin-orbit coupled Bose gases; engineering spatially modulated interaction with alkali earth atoms and the debate of ferromagnetism in strongly interacting Fermi gases.
