Abstract:
Stackelberg equilibrium solution concept describes optimal strategies to commit to: first player (termed leader) commits to a publicly known strategy and second player (termed follower) plays a best response to this strategy. This solution concept describes various situations in auctions and mechanism design, and it is a cornerstone of many existing real- world security applications. In this talk I will focus on an extension of Stackelberg equilibrium, where the leader commits to correlated strategies and I will describe the impact of this extension on computational aspects in both one-shot and finite multistage (extensive-form) games.
