(By Shuai Sun) On the 104th anniversary of Tsinghua University, 58th Ma Yuehan Cup Sports Meeting took place and boasted 42 events. IIIS team won championship at men’s discus throwing, chess, men’s 50m butterfly stroke and men’s 100m freestyle, and also had a good performance in Sanshou, Wei Chi and other events.
Ma Yuehan, a professor of Tsinghua University, was a physical education pioneer. In memory of his contribution to sports education, Tsinghua awards the Ma Yuehan Cup as its annual sports meeting. His slogan “be healthy and work for the motherland for 50 years” has been inspiring and motivating Tsinghua students.
