After four-days’ academic exchange and one-day tour, on Sep.26, China Theory Week 2008 closed successfully. Over 30 Ph. D. candidates from Princeton, MIT, and UC Berkeley got together and discussed the latest research results in the field of theoretical computer science.

During the four days’ workshop, more than 30 Ph.D. gave talks to exchange their research results. Lin Yang, from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, said after some sessions of this workshop, “ITCS provides a platform for interaction. People benefit a great deal during this active workshop.” All the other attendees commented that CTW 2008 is an academic feast and is a wonderful and fruitful experience in their life.

ITCS director Prof. Yao said in the closing ceremony that China Theory Week has been successfully held twice, and it will be held every year in order to enhance academic exchange in the field of theoretical computer science.
