IIIS Holds Research Festival 2017

From December 22 to 29, IIIS Research Festival 2017 was held at the second-floor lobby of FIT Building. In the afternoon of Dec. 22, Prof. Hu Shimin, Deputy Director of Department of Computer Science and Technology, gave an opening report on How to be a Successful Young Teacher, chaired by Prof. Andrew Yao, Dean of IIIS.

During the research festival, over 30 posters were exhibited and presented by professors, graduates and YaoClass undergraduates. The topics include quantum information, quantum computing, algorithm design, distributed system, network sciences, mechanism design, computation biology, computational economics, etc. In the afternoon of Dec. 29, professors and students explained the posters, and exchanged ideas on the research fields and research achievements.

The aim of IIIS Research Festival is to provide a platform of exchange for professors and students from different research areas and to promote the cooperation of cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in our institute. More than 100 participants enjoyed the one-week activity this year.
