内容:

Temporally shaped control pulses for the creation of long-distance entanglement in disordered spin chains are derived. Our idea is based on a time-dependent target functional and a time-local control strategy that permit to ensure that the description of the chain in terms of matrix product states (MPS) is always valid. With this approach, we could demonstrate that long-distance entanglement can be created and maintained even for substantially disordered interaction landscapes.

个人简介:

Dr. Jian Cui received his PHD from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Heng Fan. The last year of his PHD program was done in Max-Planck Institute of Quantum Optics with Dr. Mari Carmen Banuls and Prof. Ignacio Cirac. After his PHD, Dr. Jian Cui has been working with Senior Lecturer Florian Mintert as a Postdoc fellow in Freiburg University, Germany. Now he is in the transition period to Imperial College London. His research interest lies in quantum information theory, many-body physics, tensor network algorithms and optimal control theory.
