August is a month to greet the newcomers at Tsinghua. 35 undergraduates and 37 graduates make up the latest class at IIIS this year.
On the 23rd, 14 freshmen of Yao Class registered and the other 21 students were picked up later from the applicants of the other departments after competitive selection. Graduates officially arrived on August 29, including 28 PhD candidates and 9 master candidates. The Grade 2017 is more diverse than last year with one international undergraduate and three international graduates.
Events will be scheduled to welcome our new students in the next days, including orientations, and an opening ceremony of the Fall Semester.
