Lunch meetings of four grades of Yao Class took place during the third week of Spring semester 2011. Yao Class students gathered together with Prof. Andrew Yao to report their progress and share their latest thinking.

Hosted by Prof. Yao, lunch meetings of the four grades varied in contents. Freshmen were asked to share their experiences in Beijing as newcomers, sophomores named the top three most interesting anecdotes on campus, juniors discussed the professional training program, while senior students focused their choices upon graduation.

At one of the meetings, Prof. Yao gave a card to Xuelu Yu from Grade 2010 to celebrate her birthday. And freshman Xinye Li shared a poem he wrote in poetry appreciation class. Prof. Yao was glad to see their progress and encouraged students to develop extensive interests besides academic pursuit. Lunch meetings were well received among Yao Class students and will be held on a regular basis.
