hits:
August 18,2008

From August 10 to 17, under the leadership of Prof. Sun, 9 students from ITCS, who will become Ph.D. candidates in the new semester, have an academic exchange with Singapore universities and institutes. This academic trip enables students to have a profound understanding of their domain, and shows the high spirits of ITCS students.

During these 8 days, students visit Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Institute for Infocomm Research (IIR). In NTU, there is a small workshop, and attendees from ITCS and mathematical department of NTU give talks. ITCS students have enthusiastic academic exchange with Ph. D. students in NTU as well. In NUS, students benefit a great deal by discussing their interested topITCS with professors. In IIR, students learn that it is a research institute like China Academy of Sciences, funded by Singapore Government, so as to transform science and technology into production, and they learn a lot about how to apply technology into market and products.
