March 20, 2012, Tsinghua University President Jining Chen paid a visit to IIIS and learned about the Institute’s latest progress in various aspects. Tsinghua Vice Secretary of CPC Commission Xu Chen joined the visit.

IIIS Dean Prof. Andrew Chi-Chih Yao introduced the Institute’s disciplinary development, faculty recruitment, the progress and planning of Center for Quantum Information (CQI). President Chen sang highly of the Institute’s rapid progress in quantum information and concrete results in top talents recruitment.   

President Chen also paid a visit to the CQI lab. He watched the experiment platform for quantum network and discussed with students. Prof. Amy Wang introduced the latest progress achieved by the group, who recently had a paper published in New Journal of Physics. Assoc. Professor Kihwan Kim presented the results in iron trap to the visitors.

Directors from University HR Office, Housing Office and R&D Office also joined the visit.
