In recent years, Scientific Intelligence, also known as AI for Science, has demonstrated superior performance over traditional methods in multiple domains, such as weather forecasting, protein folding, and molecule synthesis planning. This success is partially attributed to advances in various machine learning techniques. In this talk, I will introduce machine learning techniques that power scientific intelligence, including scalable machine learning, reinforcement learning, generative learning, and automated machine learning. In addition, I will discuss some applications of these techniques in scientific intelligence, such as time series forecasting, and molecule synthesis planning. 

个人简介:

Peilin Zhao is a principal researcher at Tencent AI Lab. Previously, he worked at Rutgers University, Singapore A*STAR, and Ant Group. His research interests focus on machine learning and its applications. He has served as an Area Chair and Associate Editor at top conferences and journals such as ICML, NeurIPS, TPAMI, etc. He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Zhejiang University and a PhD in computer science from Nanyang Technological University.
