内容:
Laser-based measurement and control of atomic and molecular states form the foundation of modern quantum technology and provide deep insights into fundamental physics. In this talk, I'll present our recent work on quantum-state-resolved thorium-229 nuclear laser spectroscopy using a coherent frequency comb in the vacuum-ultraviolet. I will also show our recent broadband spectroscopy results using thin-film thorium-229 fluoride targets, demonstrating a novel platform for future nanophotonic integration of nuclear clocks. This unification of precision metrology and nuclear physics sparks new ideas for fundamental physics tests and promises nuclear-based robust timing applications.
个人简介:
Chuankun Zhang obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics at Tsinghua University and is now a graduate student in Prof. Jun Ye's lab at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His work in the Ye Group is focused on building thorium-229 based nuclear clocks for both precision metrology and fundamental physics.
